Today we live in the era of Information Technology, an era where a technology was born. Technology is usefull for anyone to share or have an information. Computer,the Internet, E-mail, and the other is a great invention of man creates in this era. Until now, these discoveries have had a real contribution in helping to facilitate the work of man.
In this occation, I will tell you about multimedia. Do you know what is multimedia?
Multimedia is using a computer for present and combine text, sound, image, animation, audio and video with a tool and link. So that can make user do navigation, interaction, working and communicate. Multimedia usually use in the world of informatics, games and for make a website.
At first multimedia only covers about media which consumption of the sense of sight (images, move image, text, video, animation), sense of hearing (sound).
Multimedia develop also includes movements and smell of the sense of smell. Multimedia start covers the elements of kinetic since was applied to 3-D film shows, that combined with the movement of the chair seat.
It can see that multimedia is a combination data or media for present an information, so that the information can be present attractively.
Multimedia can be divided into two types:
1. Multimedia Content Production is the result (product) of the process of combining multiple media to deliver a information. which result from a process called multimedia products (music, videos, movies, games, entertainment, etc.). In this type of multimedia, media used were:
- media audio
- media text
- media animation
- media video
- media graph/ image
- media special effect
- media interactivity
2. Multimedia Communication is the process of using media, such as print, media, radio, television, and the internet that aims to deliver/ broadcast/ publish/ communicate a massage or information, such as news, material, etc. In these multimedi types of media used in form of:
- print media
- radio
- TV movies
- games
- music
- entertainment
- ICT (Internet)
There 3 characteristic of multimedia
1. Interactive Multimedia: user can controled what and when the elements media will be sent or show.
2. Hyperactive Multimedia: this character have much link that connecting the existing elements of mulltimedia.
3. Linear Multimedia: useeer just be a spectator and enjoyed the product of multimedia.
